I don't know but I think that's Phil Hildengaertner. Erik Phillips played guitar in Overdrive if I'm not mistaken. He wrote in Mayday's guestbook that he left UKJ in May 1990 and that Cordell influenced him to play bass from 1991 on until he joined Abercrombie. And UKJ got signed in 1991, didn't they?

I never heard of Phil Hildengaertner, so he was actually a bass player for UKJ before they were signed?
Does anyoneknow why Roger Lahr left?

I think Rog was cool, I mean sweat leaf/funky fresh that was mad! I thaught it was better than anything on ALW. I dont know much about the early days but I feel like he added alot of funk to the sound

He isn't mentioned in the credits for Funky Fresh? Whit and Erik Phillips are.

oh... even so, that is such a great song don't you think, it's one of their few early tracks that I can just keep listening to and never get tired of it.
I always liked Rog, but I must admit that Dave Fortman hoining was probably the best thing that couldve happened to that band music wise.

I had always a thing for funky music. The joke is, for a long time I thought that Sweet Leaf was of UKJ and Funky Fresh of Black Sabbath... I didn't know more than the name and the reputation of Black Sabbath then . I was really surprised and "proud" of UKJ, when I found out that Funky Fresh was of them!

I know what you mean! I love both parts, sweat leaf rocks cause UKJ are great at doing Sabbath and Whits voice just rules and then the funky Fresh bit is amazing, I just love everything about the whole song
